Carlton Community Sports Carnival (or CCSC) is a community sports event where Melbourne University Sport opens up its sports facilities for the surrounding Carlton community.
This all age event is aimed at uniting the emerging communities in the Carlton area and building ties between the sponsor organisations and the youth attending. It is also a chance to engage youth and encourage them to join local sporting clubs in that area, while providing family friendly entertainment within a carnival atmosphere.
The day features a four-competition soccer tournament.
- 9 - 11 years old Girls (4-a-side, no goalkeeper)
- 9 - 11 years old Boys (4-a-side, no goalkeeper)
- 12 – 14 years old Girls (6-a-side, including goalkeeper)
- 12 – 14 years old Boys (6-a-side, including goalkeeper)

The soccer tournament is for everyone but Sports Without Borders is really encouraging the girls in the Carlton community to get involved by registering their team. Soccer isn’t just for boys and it is important that girls engage in physical activity and build new friendships.
Sports Without Borders and its sports partners will also offer some great sports clinics on the day. Netball Victoria, Melbourne Heart, Athletics Victoria and Tennis Victoria will be running interactive clinics all day. Carlton FC will also be present with fun giveaways.
There will also be pop-up entertainment around the ground all day, an arts and craft area, an MC and DJ spinning cool tunes, plus more surprises.
