2012 has been a big but successful year for Sports Without Borders. We have continued facilitating important programs in the community and deepened our engagement and consultation with communities across Victoria. Our focus has remained the same – innovation, engagement and leadership.

'Let's All Play: Run K!ck Play' day.

February 26, on a hot summer’s day, students turned community leaders and their teachers helped organise a Come and Try Sports Festival at Meade Reserve in the City of Monash.  The Sports Festival preceded the Clayton Street Festival so participants could enjoy some games and clinics before wandering up the road to the Street Festival.

In an Australian first, South West Sports Assembly in Victoria has formed a sports ‘Microbank’. This great innovation gives recipients an interest free loan allowing them to participate in sporting activities while addressing the main barrier to this activity - cost.
