Anne King Queen of Table Tennis

Former Sports Without Borders Director  (Community & International Development) and current member of its Advisory Committee, Anne King has been bestowed with the title of CEO for Table Tennis Victoria.  She commenced her duties on 5th September, 2011.

 “I am excited by the challenge to introduce a new direction in Table Tennis that strongly promotes and delivers opportunities for new and emerging communities as a way of social inclusion. The beauty of Table Tennis is that it is suitable for all ages and abilities while at the same time providing a pathway for a young athlete with an Olympic dream,” Anne said

While at Sports Without Borders, Anne King focused on developing programs such as Youth Action and building links within the community with programs such as USS Shoup vs Sabres basketball game and also coordinated the first Sports Without Borders National Grassroots sports conference.

Anne was also associated with the Olympic Movement for thirteen years, the last three as the inaugural Executive Director with the Oceania Foundation.   She is credited with founding the Oceania University Sports Association in that time, was a member of the Australian Olympic Team in Athens 2004 and has been both Deputy and Chef de Mission for the World University Winter Games.
